The first time
it held.

A parent noticed

Rowan’s feet hovered over their hands for a whole breath. On the way home, I kept talking about how long they held it.

Rowan remembered

“I could hear everyone talking while I was upside down. Usually all I can hear is myself thinking, ‘Don’t fall.’”
