Audition Criteria — Eastern Acrobatics

1 · Introduction

2 · Strength

Demonstrate the following

Pull-ups10 chest-to-bar pull-ups with no arch; palms facing away, legs straight and together, full extension at the bottom.
Push-ups20 push-ups with elbows close to the body, chest to the floor, straight body alignment, and head facing forward.
Leg lifts10 straight-leg lifts on wall bars, touching toes to the bar.
Pistol squatsFull-depth pistol squats on both the left and right legs.
Arch rocks20 reps with feet together, arms straight, shoulders open, and arms to ears.
One-arm hangMaximum hold time hanging from a bar with one arm.
Box jumpPerform your maximum-height box jump.
Your choiceShowcase a strength-based movement or sequence that highlights your level or special ability.

3 · Flexibility

Demonstrate the following

PikeSit on the floor with a straight back and arms extended toward the ceiling.
PancakeLegs 90° apart, torso flat to the floor, and arms extended forward (can be performed with feet elevated).
Front splitPerform a split or oversplit with the front leg elevated.
Middle split, flatShow a middle split or oversplit lying flat on your stomach.
Middle split, uprightSit up straight in a middle split on a marked line.
BridgePerform a bridge with fingers as close to the heels as possible.
Bridge to standTransition smoothly from a bridge to standing.
Your choiceShowcase a flexibility-based movement or sequence that highlights your level or special ability.

4 · Tumbling

Demonstrate the following

Dive roll
Front walkover
Back walkover
Front handspringor front handspring step-out.
Back handspringor back handspring step-out.
Punch front tuck
Standing back tuck
Your choicePerform a tumbling sequence or skill that showcases your unique abilities or special talent.

5 · Specialty

3 minutes · one continuous take

Showcase your specialty with a 3-minute act. Film this portion in one continuous take using a fixed-position camera, and show us:
